How much does it cost to sign-up?

Sign-Up Cost

If the service address is located in our service area in Iowa or southern portion of Minnesota (to view a map of the existing service areas, click here), the cost to sign-up is $450.00.

The $450.00 includes $150 for membership and the remaining $300 goes towards construction.

ILRW installs the service line to the home or meter pit and a meter, but the customer is responsible for having a plumber come and make the final connection between the plumbing and meter.

The sign-up cost is reviewed by the Board of Directors annually and adjusted only if deemed necessary.

 

Installation Date

If a customer signs up for rural water and pays the full amount at that time, ILRW will move forward with installing the service line when in the area.

Your installation date will be determined by a number of factors, including the number of people that need to be installed that year, weather, equipment, supplies, etc.

The construction manager may be able to give you a tentative date, but please note that the date given is subject to change depending on the above mentioned circumstances.

 

 

Paying Your Monthly Bill With A Credit Card, Debit Card, or Electronic Check

As part of our commitment to provide members with efficient, convenient service, Iowa Lakes Regional Water has partnered with ePay to offer payment of monthly utility bills over the Internet at https://epay.4gov.com/ilrw.

Customers will have to register and will need the following information to setup their ePay account:

  • E-mail address
  • ILRW Account Number
  • Pin # (found only on your monthly bill).
  • Challenge Question & Answer (created by customer)

Customers must utilize ePay if they wish to pay with credit, debit, or electronic check.

ILRW does not accept payments over the phone.

Customers utilizing ePay will see the added benefits of now being able to view their current balance due and the history of their usage and payments, as well as the ability to sign-up for ACH (automatic monthly bank withdrawal).

ePay, the service provider, does charge a convenience fee for payment processing when using credit, debit, or electronic check. The fee for electronic check processing is $1.49 and for credit or debit cards it is $3.99. Customers that pay by ACH do NOT have any fees that apply for the processing.
